Responsibilities
As a Midas Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services, including:
- Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
- Tire installation and repair
- Heating and air conditioning repair
- Steering and suspension systems
- Belt and hose replacement
- Radiator and cooling system service
- Battery, starting, and charging system diagnostics
- Brake repair and replacement
- Oil changes and routine maintenance
- Check engine light diagnostics
- Muffler and exhaust system repair
- Visual safety and courtesy inspections
Qualifications
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair vehicles independently
- Strong knowledge in brakes, exhaust, suspension, and engine diagnostics
- High level of personal productivity and accountability
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations for automotive facilities
- Experience using shop equipment (lifts, alignment machines, tire changers, scan tools, etc.)
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred)
- State-specific auto repair certifications (where applicable)
- Valid driver’s license
- Own tools and equipment (diagnostic tools a plus)
- Ability to work on both domestic and foreign vehicles
