Store Manager – Delaney Tire and Auto

We are seeking a seasoned Store Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset to lead daily operations, drive financial performance, and build a strong, customer-focused team. This role is responsible for ensuring safety, efficiency, profitability, and an exceptional customer experience.
Position Summary
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, including safety, performance, customer satisfaction, and team leadership. This individual is accountable for profit and loss, inventory control, and maintaining a productive, positive work environment that supports business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and direct all automotive and general service technicians in daily shop operations
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate team members
- Deliver exceptional customer service by listening to and consulting with customers
- Follow up with customers regarding services, recommendations, and estimated completion times
- Oversee vehicle inspections and develop comprehensive repair recommendations
- Create and manage computerized repair orders and source necessary parts
- Present and explain service estimates, while promoting shop specials
- Supervise sales, accounting, and clerical functions performed by Service Advisors
- Ensure proper inspection, diagnosis, and repair of domestic, European, and Asian vehicles
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and minimize losses
- Ensure facility cleanliness, organization, and environmental compliance
- Manage payroll, employee scheduling, and timekeeping records
- Prepare and submit daily sales and performance reports to corporate leadership
- Lead the team in alignment with company vision, values, and culture
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Store or Service Manager
- Strong general automotive knowledge
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proven leadership and team-building abilities
- Experience with POS systems and general computer proficiency
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree or relevant coursework
- 3+ years of experience in the automotive repair industry
- Prior supervisory, mentoring, or coaching experience
- Experience managing P&L and driving financial performance
- Background in continuous improvement or process optimization
